Data Privacy Policy
REVELEX Corporation operates solely as a provider of Internet-enabled Application Service Provider (ASP) that provides a comprehensive travel agency customer management system solution for registered travel agencies. As such, REVELEX Corporation does not collect any of the data within our systems except for and at the explicit instructions of our customers-- the travel agencies that have contracted to use our applications and services.
All personal data received originates from travel agents who represent travel agencies that have contracted with REVELEX Corporation to act on their behalf in order to fulfill travel booking requests-REVELEX Corporation does not collect personal data from any other source. Only information required to complete a travel request (ie, carrier availability search, booking, etc…) is asked for and received by our applications.
REVELEX Corporation does operate session-based web-enabled applications, however REVELEX Corporation does not employ stealth personal data gathering or spyware-type devices of any kind. However, our customers may choose to employ such devices in web sites that they control that accesses REVELEX's Corporation applications and systems.
REVELEX Corporation only receives personal data that is provided by authorized travel agents who have contracted to use our applications and systems to benefit their clients. REVELEX Corporation does not contract with outside entities to augment or provide personal information of any kind. REVELEX Corporation, of its own accord, does not originate, collect or augment personal data in any way.
Scope:
REVELEX Corporation is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of those who entrust us with their personal information. Our employees, and those who do business with us, trust and expect that we will protect their personal information in accordance with the promises we make. This policy covers REVELEX Corporation and applies to all individually information that REVELEX Corporation obtains when a client uses a REVELEX Corporation service.
Safe Harbor:
The United State Department of Commerce and the European Commission have agreed on a set of data protection principles and frequently asked questions (FAQ) to enable U.S. companies to satisfy European Union (EU) law requirements for adequate protection of personal information transferred from the EEA to the United States. REVELEX Corporation adheres to the Safe Harbor Principles outlined below.
Privacy Principles:
The privacy principles in this policy are based on the Safe Harbor Principles.
Notice and Choice:
REVELEX Corporation will inform individuals about the purpose for which we collect and use personal data about them, how to contact us, the types of non-agent third parties with whom we may share personal data, and any ways the individuals may limit the use and sharing of such data. This notice will be provided when individuals are first asked to provide personal data or as soon thereafter as is practicable.
Onward Transfers and Disclosures to Agents:
REVELEX Corporation will not disclose an individual's personal information to third parties, except when one or more of the following conditions is true:
- REVELEX Corporation has the individual's permission to make the disclosure;
- The disclosure is required by law or professional standards;
- The disclosure is reasonably related to the sale or disposition of all or part of REVELEX's business;
- The information in question is publicly available;
- The disclosure is reasonably necessary for the establishment or defense of legal claims.
Data Security:
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Data Integrity:
REVELEX Corporation processes personal information only in ways compatible with the purpose for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. To the extent necessary for such purposes, REVELEX Corporation takes reasonable steps to make sure that personal information is accurate, complete, current, and otherwise reliable for its intended use.
Access and Correction:
If an individual becomes aware that information that REVELEX Corporation maintains about that individual is inaccurate, or if an individual would like to update or review his or her information, the individual may contact us using the contact information below. REVELEX Corporation will take reasonable steps to permit individuals to correct, amend, or delete information that is demonstrated to be inaccurate. The individual will need to provide sufficient identifying information, such as name, address, birth date. REVELEX Corporation may request additional identifying information as a security precaution. In addition, REVELEX Corporation may limit or deny access to personal information where providing such access would be unreasonably burdensome or expensive in the circumstances, or as otherwise permitted by the Safe Harbor Agreement. In some circumstances, REVELEX Corporation may charge a reasonable fee, where warranted, for access to personal information.
Enforcement and Dispute Resolution:
REVELEX Corporation utilizes the self-assessment approach to assure its compliance with our privacy statement. REVELEX Corporation periodically verifies that the policy is accurate, comprehensive for the information intended to be covered, prominently displayed, completely implemented, and in conformity with the Principles. REVELEX Corporation encourages interested persons to raise any concerns with us using the contact information below. REVELEX Corporation will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of personal information in accordance with the principles contained in this policy.
With respect to any complaints relating to this policy that cannot be resolved through our internal processes, REVELEX will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints relating to our compliance with the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles. For complaints that cannot be resolved between REVELEX and the complainant not involving European Union human resources data, REVELEX has agreed to participate in the dispute resolution procedures of the BBB EU Safe Harbor program. For complaints that cannot be resolved between REVELEX and the complainant involving European Union related human resources data, REVELEX has agreed to participate in the dispute resolution procedures of the panel established by the European Union data protection authorities. Any person who REVELEX Corporation determines is in violation of our privacy policies will be subject to disciplinary process.
Limitation on Scope of Principles:
Adherence by REVELEX Corporation to these privacy principles may be limited to the extent required to meet a legal, governmental, national security or public interest obligation.
CHANGES:
This policy may be amended from time to time, consistent with the requirements of the Safe Harbor. Due to the rapidly evolving technologies on the Internet, we may occasionally revise or update this policy. If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our corporate homepage (www.revelex.com) so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
